Almost ten years after the original publication of the book, Washburn contacted the publisher, March Street Press, about buying a few copies of the original book to sell at readings. "Robert Bixby, the publisher, suggested that we reissue the book and that I expand the edition with more poems from the same time period. We also added a foreword by poet Elaine Terranova", Washburn says. "It was exciting to know I'd have a 'new' book coming out, but strange to work with revision and publication of poems that were more than a decade old. I think it's a better book now, and I think readers will enjoy some of the longer narrative 'fairy tale' poems added to the book."
