The Axe Library's Fifth Annual Silent Auction was held on Monday, March 11th, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. in the Library Browsing Area. A number of autographed items were available for bid. Refreshments were provided and local performing artist Lem Sheppard was on hand to provide entertainment.

Proceeds from this Auction are going toward furnishings for the new Special Collections Reading Room. A reception desk has already been purchased, however six reading tables, 24 chairs, two exhibit cases, two book cases and a table-top display case have yet to be obtained.
