Interlibrary Loan - Lending

In addition to borrowing items from other libraries for our patrons, we will make every effort to provide other libraries with the items they need. Books are loaned for a five week period (no renewals). Occasionally, a special item (a reference book or periodical, for instance) is loaned out for a shorter period of time, usually three to five days use. Approval for a loan of this type must be obtained from the head of the respective departments. If the item cannot be loaned, a photocopy could be made if the applicable photocopy charges lie within the requestors MAXCOST.

Services are generally reciprocated to libraries that do not charge us.

Schedule

We are open year around, with the exception of State and legal holidays. Our office is generally staffed Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm(Central Standard Time). Our turnaround time is usually 24 hours, however more processing time may be necessary for specialized items, or during holidays and interim sessions.
