- American Concrete Institute
(ACI) -
has
produced more than 400 technical documents, reports, guides, specifications,
and codes for the best use of concrete; conducts about 125 educational
seminars each year; and has 13 different certification programs for concrete
practitioners, as well as a scholarship program to promote careers in the industry.
- American Society of Heating, Refigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers
(ASHRAE) -
will
advance the arts and sciences of heating, ventilation, air conditioning
and refrigeration and related human factors to serve the evolving needs
of the public and ASHRAE.
- Associated Builders and Contractors
(ABC) -
is
a national association representing 23,000 merit shop construction and
construction-related firms in 79 chapters across the United States. ABC's

- Associated General Contractors of America

- Construction Management Association of America
(CMAA) -
is
leading the growth and acceptance of Construction Management as a professional
discipline that can add significant value to the entire construction process,
from conception to ongoing operation.
- Construction Specifications Institute
(CSI) -
The
mission of CSI is to advance the process of creating and sustaining the
built environment. By using the diversity and expertise of its membership
to develop and exchange knowledge, the Institute seeks to be recognized

process - this is CSI's vision for the future.
- National Association of Home Builders
(NAHB) -
is
a trade association that helps promote the policies that make housing a
national priority. Since 1942, NAHB has been serving its members, the
housing industry, and the public at large.
- National Association of Women in Construction
(NAWIC) -
was
founded in 1953 by 16 women working in the construction industry. Knowing
that women represented only a small fraction of the construction industry,
the founders organized NAWIC to create a support network. Women in Construction
of Fort Worth was so successful that it gained its national charter in 1955
and became the National Association of Women in Construction. NAWIC's core
purpose is to enhance the success of women in the construction industry.
