Composer Links
Here are a number of links to sources
you may use to locate information on your favorite composer. This is not an exhaustive list, we've
started with composers we have performed over the years. Right now, there may
only be a name and dates, some names lead to an "official" page for the composer.
Almost all composers have these standardized links:
- Google
- The International Music Score Library Project
(IMSLP)
- Wikipedia, and
- WorldCat
These four basic sources provide you with a list of web sites,
scores, encyclopedic information, and library resources
respectively for each composer.
As always, consider your sources. Where possible, we've added links to Societies,
Associations, Journals... anything available of a more reliable and scholarly nature. And
we might find a site that's fun, cool, or a bit odd, too.
Here are a few other sources that may provide information on a composer of interest. Several
sites provide music in the Public
Domain:
You'll find links for each composer at the bottom of our Program Notes pages as well,
so you can read about the piece we perform, then follow the links and find out even more.
We hope you will investigate and learn as much as you can on the lives and works of these
great masters.
