Located within the Library is a computer print lab housing 24 computers, three of which are iMacs. Software packages include Windows XP, Microsoft Office 2007, SPSS 10.1 for Windows and various Internet Resources (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Telnet, Ace FTP, and Adobe Acrobat Reader). All workstations in the Library and the computer lab are networked to various printers located in the Library Computer Print Lab.
All information obtained on the Internet will be routed to our black and white or color printers located in the Library Computer Print Lab.

The cost for black & white copies is five cents per page if using a Gorilla One Card or Banana Bucks Card, or ten cents per page if using cash. A color copy from any source is fifty cents (cash or card) per page.
AxeFax Service: The Axe Library offers a fax service to the public. AxeFax receives 24 hours a day, and Lab personnel will scan and send transmissions during all hours of operation. Charges are twenty-five cents per page for transmissions within the United States, and fifty cents per page for all other destinations. There is no charge to receive. The fax number is 620-235-4090.
Scanning Service: Also located in the Library Computer Print Lab is an HP ScanJet 6300C for scanning documents. The Lab monitor will scan, free of charge, items to a disc that you provide. Due to the size of most scans, a zip disk, or USB flash drive (jump drive / thumb drive) must be used.
Video Playback / DVD / VHS Units: DVD's and VHS tapes are viewable on two units in the Computer Print Lab. Headphones are used with this equipment, and are available for checkout from the Lab monitor.
Instructors may schedule videos through the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology's closed-circuit system. The Lab monitor will contact the department to start your video. Other programming, such as NASAnews, Foxnews, CNN, etc. are available, as well as international news broadcasts through SCOLA. [broadcast schedule]
KTC Library computer lab

Located within the KTC Library is a two-room computer lab housing 26 workstations. Software packages include Microsoft Office (Professional), SPSS statistical analysis software, Autodesk, Adobe Creative Suite 2 (Acrobat, Bridge, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), Internet resources, Architectural Desktop, Visual Basic 6.0, Visual C++ 6.0, and Visual J++ 6.0. Two scanners are available for student use.
Printing:
Cash is not accepted; you will need to use your PSU ID or Banana Bucks card to pay for printing. You may add money on either card using one of the CVC ("Cash Value Card") machines on campus, located in the browsing area of the Axe Library, or outside of the Ticket Office in the Student Center. You may also use a credit card to apply funds to your cards through an account you establish on either the Banana Bucks or Gorilla Card web sites.
