(AAPA) -
Promotes interest in American Art Pottery. Publishes the
Journal of the American Art Pottery Association.
- American Society of Portrait Artists
(ASOPA) -
Dedicated to furthering the fine art of portraiture and supporting the
individual artist. Holds art festivals, juried shows, workshops, seminars
and competitions designed to publicize the work of its member artists.
Also maintains a directory that allows the public to find a portrait artist.
- Graphic Artists' Guild - A
national union of illustrators, designers, web creators, production artists,
surface designers and other graphic artists. Publishes the
Graphic Artists Guild Handbook: Pricing & Ethical
Guidelines, provides a JOBline for members, insurance, legal assistance
and discounts for certain services needed by graphic artists.
- College Art Association
(CAA) - Promotes
scholarship and in the history and criticism of the visual arts. Open to
membership from artists, art historians, museum directors and curators,
educators, and arts administrators. Holds annual conference and distributes

- Art on the Net - Collective of artists
who share their works on the World Wide Web. Artists create and maintain
studios and rooms in the gallery where they show their works and share
information about themselves. Includes painters, sculptors, animators,
photographers, etc.
- The Artchive - Also known as
Mark Harden's Artchive. Offers access to
2,000 scanned images from over 200 different artists. Also provides access
to articles on theory and criticism as well as links to other interesting art sites.
- Web Gallery of Art - Virtual
museum and searchable database of European painting and sculpture of the
Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque periods (1150-1800), currently containing
over 12,100 reproductions.
- World Wide Arts Resources - Links to
art galleries and their collections worldwide, an art history collection
of reproductions of more than 22,000 artists, portfolios of modern
artists exhibiting and selling art on the internet, and online art news.
New artists are invited to create a portfolio or register their gallery online.

- National Endowment for the Humanities -
An independent grant making agency of the United States government dedicated
to supporting research, education, preservation, and public programs in
the humanities. Supports many programs involving the visual arts.
- Kansas Arts Commission - The
KAC is funded by an annual
appropriation from the Kansas Legislature and by grants from the National
Endowment for the Arts. Funds art projects in crafts, painting and design
and other visual arts as well as the publication of books on Kansas art.
