Linking Library Resources to the ANGEL LMS

The ANGEL system allows you to link to library resources on your course pages. Your students will be able to use library databases, online articles, and find research sources without leaving ANGEL. By using the linking features in the Resources module in ANGEL you can create a personalized list of resources for your students.

Since most of your students will be using ANGEL in an off campus environment, you will need to insert the proxy authentication string in front of the address of your item in order to make the resource available to them.

Copy/paste http://library.pittstate.edu:2048/login?url= and insert it in front of your link.

EBSCO databases
Including Academic Search Premier, CINAHL, LISTA
On the list of citations, click on the article title to open the full bibliographic record. Locate the phrase "persistent link to this record." Copy/paste into ANGEL. Insert the proxy string http://library.pittstate.edu:2048/login?url= in front of the article URL.

Proquest databases
Including ABI/INFORM, Research Library
Locate the full text article. Locate "copy link" at the top of the screen of the full text article. Copy/paste into ANGEL. Insert the proxy string http://library.pittstate.edu:2048/login?url= in front of the article URL.

Thomson Gale databases
Including Academic OneFile, Expanded Academic, Business & Company, Literature Resource Center, Health Reference Center Academic, Health & Wellness Resource Center, Computer Database
Locate the full text article. In the upper left hand corner of the article, click on "InfoMark" to locate the article URL. (Gale databases call the stable URL an InfoMark URL). Copy/paste into ANGEL. Insert the proxy string http://library.pittstate.edu:2048/login?url= in front of the article URL.

JSTOR
Locate the article. Copy/paste the "Stable URL" found in the citation. The "Stable URL" also appears on the full text page under the tab "Article Information." Insert the proxy string http://library.pittstate.edu:2048/login?url= in front of the article URL.
