INTRODUCTION
The Dust Devil Dispatch was published by Task Force Dust Devil for the troops and families of those serving in Iraq with the 891st Engineer Battalion and Alpha Company, 230th Engineer Battalion. Issues of the Dispatch, released either in Adobe PDF and html formats, were composed and published by SPC Jay Gfeller with the help of soldiers and family members of the 891st Engineer Battalion and A Company, 230th Engineer Battalion. The first edition published covered March 20th through the 26th, 2005.
The purpose of the Dust Devil Dispatch was to aid in the communication between the 891st and family members in Kansas. Each issue contained news from the 891st, news from home, births, events and links.
