Connecting to Services

A PSU ID and GUSPIN are needed to access many Library resources. Go here for help with logging in from off campus sites, or if you forgot your GUSPIN. More helpful information is located on our Off Campus Proxy FAQ.

Online Articles

Find online articles by using the Axe Library databases.

• Databases by Title
• Databases by Subject
• Axe360. Search multiple databases at one time.
• Article Linker - When an article is not online in your current database, use the Article Linker link (found in the citation) to locate other databases that may have the online article, or a link to Interlibrary Loan to request the article.

Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan services provide articles not available online in PSU databases. First time users will need to register with the ILLiad system.

Document Delivery

Document Delivery provides a way to receive articles owned by PSU but available only on microfilm on in the bound volume stacks. Articles owned by PSU are scanned and posted to your ILLiad account.

Online Journals

Find online journals by using Serials Solutions

• Search by journal title, journal title keyword, or ISSN.
• Search by a subject category to see what journals are available for your area
• Use the citation linker to locate a citation in an online database.

Online Books

Books are available online using the following databases:

• NetLibrary
• Books 24x7
• Humanities E-Book Project (ACLS) (largely history titles)

Online Reference Sources

Find encyclopedias, dictionaries, handbooks, atlases and information on many general topics.

• Oxford Reference Online
• CredoReference
• Gale Virtual Reference Library

Research Guides

Almost fifty guides to Library resources and significant web sites in Arts & Sciences, Business, Education, and Technology.
