  • STA-SET Endpin Rest @~@~ (you'll throw the others away!!!) A ball/socket device that clamps on your endpin. It's always there (like a Tourte mute) and you don't have to worry about it. I bought mine in 1978 and I've NEVER had to fuss with it! I can't locate a web site or any patent info, but the box reads: "STA-SET Pinrest [bass], MFD. by Interset-Hedderich Boulder, CO, USA". I've also seen references to "W.E. Heddrich, Rockford, ILL."
