Lest you think all we did was eat, a view of the lecture hall where general sessions were presented. Members of MADU (Esther Ong, Temasek Polytechnic Library; Ong Peik Keng, Temasek Polytechnic Library; Jenny Tai Ai Giek; SAFTI Military Institute Library; and Koh Bee Chin, SAFTI Military Institute Library) are in the front rows.
An aesthetic view from the riverside looking toward the restaurant, Gekkos. (Mike Shearer was obviously standing knee-deep in water to get this one!)

Margareta Nicholas, CODA President, and Susan Johns, CODI President, share a toast overlooking the river and the fine city of Adelaide, Australia.

More hungry participants, with a great shot of Adelaide by night by the river, courtesy of Mike Shearer

More camera shy than tired, the photographers and officers rest and relax. Neil Walker, Amlibs AUS; Michael Shearer; Meredith O'Grady, Amlibs AUS; Susan Johns; Margareta Nicholas.

Ah, now they're revived with some of that fine Australian wine! Here seated is Mike Shearer, Margareta Nicholas, Meredith O'Grady.

Helen Agoroudis, OTEN (TAFE); Margaret Pilkington, Amlibs AUS; Bevan Knight, National Library of New Zealand; Mary Batley, Amlibs AUS

Bob Claxton, Amlibs AUS, Manager of Customer Service and Operations, was obviously giving directions back to the hotel? Out to the river? The exit? The long and winding road to Perth?

Bob asking Lana Porter, CEO, Ameritech Library Services, something like, "And what do you DO at Ameritech?"

Amlibs AUS 'fessing up! Ross Welch (well, a piece of him!), Toula Kritas, Bob Claxton, Jo Thyer, John Goddard, David Cox, John Driscoll, Mary Batley, Meredith O'Grady, Lana Porter, Billie Hocking, Neil Walker

Max Bancroft, Sutherland Shire Libraries and Information Service, ended the evening with a great story! Bill Gates came to his staff and said, I have spoken with God! I have good news and bad news! The bad news is that the world will end in two days time. The good news is that we only have to support Windows for two more days!
The Ameritech Library Services Australia Singing Support Staff
Hum along now, to the tune of "From the Halls of Montezuma", and our apologies to the Mighty Crows of South Australia, and our thanks to Jo Thyer at ALS (aka Amlibs AUS) who has helped us to preserve them in this fashion from complete oblivion!
We're the pride of South Australia
The mighty ALS
We are powerful, bigger, better
And respected by our foes
Admiration of the nation
Our service really shows.
We're the pride of all the library world
We're the mighty ALS!
We give our best from coast to coast
Where the story will be told
As we automate the libraries
The world will be our goal.
Our dedication sees us through
Our commitment ever grows.
We're the pride of all the library world
We're the mighty ALS!
